Golden Triangle @ Swez Brasserie, Eastin Hotel Penang

Henry Tan | 7:44 PM |
For the upcoming April promotion, Eastin Hotel Penang presents you...

Golden Triangle dishes from
Laos, Myanmar & Thailand!

The guest chef, Chef Tan Kian Seng, specialized in Golden Triangle Cuisine.
More than 20 years of working experience in various hotels and restaurants.
So you might not want to miss this!!

Starting with the appetizers..

Yam Talay - Thai Spicy Seafood Salad

The spiciness of the chopped green chillies bits
brings out the freshness of prawn, mussels & scallops!
Really appetizing!

Larb Ped - Laos Spicy Duck Salad

Must EAT!

Well prepared duck meat without the "ducky smell".
Sweetness from the duck makes me non-stop eating!

Tom Yam Gung - Spicy Prawn Soup with Lemongrass and Chili

Nothing beats a hot & spicy Tom Yam!
The mushroom, prawns & squid soaked in the Tom Yam makes it yummy!
The spiciness makes me sweat non-stop too. TT

Next would be the main course...

Gaeng Keaw Wan Gai - Thai Green Curry Chicken

Must EAT!

The chicken must been seasoned long enough that it is green in color!
What makes it special is that it tastes better than it looks!
Not too thick and not too spicy. I like it!

Mohinga - Burmese Fish Noodles

Something like Laksa in Penang.
It's like curry fish noodle.
Quite surprised that the noodles are soft.

Or Lam - Laos Green Vegetables Stew

Perhaps this is very well decorated.
But it is just mixed vegetables stew.
With mushroom inside too!

Khao Mok Gai - Laos Steamed Chicken Rice

Perhaps the main thing is the rice behind! =p
It's like Nasi Briyani!
But what I like is that they filtered out most of the spices.
So that you won't bite on those.

See! Super well decorated!

Tempting isn't it? =DDD
Lastly, desserts...

Khow Neaw Ma Moang - Mango Sticky Rice

Tab Tim Krob - Water Chestnut with coconut milk

The two main chefs!
