Jefferson @ Prangin Mall, Penang

As a blogger, I write mostly about food, travel and events.
So for the first time ever, I am writing this fashion post.
Thankfully, my first fashion post was contributed by Jefferson!
I was being invited to write on their new Jefferson outlet in Prangin Mall, Penang.

Very catchy, big blue board of Jefferson!

Surprisingly, Jefferson was actually from Penang back in the 80s! *WOW*

They started as a small custom-tailor shop in Komtar Shopping Complex in Penang and progressively expanded to 12 outlets now in both East and West of Malaysia.

In the late 90s, Jefferson moved beyond custom tailoring to chain stores that provide unisex apparel.

They are actively involved in the fashion market with updated in-trend designs to cater all customers.

I have to say that it was quite an awkward but FUN session!

No wonder girls spend so much time in fitting room! Right?

The Jefferson outlet in Prangin Mall is really BIG and full of variety!
Personally, I think the price of the clothes is very AFFORDABLE too!
Instead of wearing my typical T-shirts and jeans, I'm gonna change my style!
I think I would opt for Jefferson the next time I go shopping. ;)

The Wild Forest Maze @ 1st Avenue Mall, Penang

The Wild Forest Maze is now in 1st Avenue Mall, Penang!
We rarely come across any maze in Malaysia huh?
Well let's go and have a try while contribute to the World Wide Fund (WWF) charity fund!

How to join?

All you have to do is...

Register yourself at the registration counter.

RM5 or more per participant upon registration.

All the proceeds will be channelled to WWF Malaysia's conversation efforts.

You will be given a card like this.

Then host will start to brief on the game rules.

Trust me, it's quite a simple game! =D

All you have to do is...

1. Take a key from the pretty forest guardian.

2. Then look for the treasure box to unlock your treasure.

3. Bring your treasure to find the forest angel.

4. Answer a question given by the forest angel.

5. If answer correct, you will get 2 stamps and proceed to Exit.

6. If answer is wrong, you will have to go back to the forest guardian to get stamp.

Do all that in the shortest time...

Weekend Outing With Sister @ Gurney Paragon, Penang

Last weekend, I went outing with sister that came back from KL! We rarely catch up nowadays as we are busy with our own things. So we decided to meet up at Gurney Paragon Mall since I rarely go there after their opening last year. It is located strategically along Gurney Drive together with all the luxurious hotels. From what I know, Gurney Paragon Mall actually used to be St. Joseph's Novitiate, which was built back in 1925! (FYI, novitiate means a religious house where novices are trained )

Well, we decided to meet up at Times Book Stores because still early for dinner.

People that know me will know that I love to go book store if I get to go shopping mall.

Apparently, Times Book Stores is the only book stores in Gurney Paragon Mall and also the first one in Penang!

The first place that I would go is Magazine zone!

Sweet Tone Live Band @ Farquhar Bar, E&O Hotel Penang

Thanks to E&O Hotel Penang, I get to witness the debuts of Sweet Tone live band at Farquhar Bar!

Sweet Tone will be performing from Thursday to Saturday between 8pm to 11pm.

This 3 pieces band will be in E&O Hotel from now till 26 April 2014!

Tax: E-Filing 2014

You can start submitting your e-filing from now onward.
Less than 2 months to deadline! 

Due date : 

Non-business Income : 30th April 2014

Business Income : 30th June 2014

Well, just in case you haven't read my previous post about tax:

How To Claim Income Tax 2011?

Tax: e-Filing for Beginners!

e-Filing is to do self assessment on your income tax for year assessment (YA) 2013.
Is either you claim back the Potong Cukai Bulanan (PCB) due to the overpay...
Or declare your extra income and pay the tax.
With proper tax planning, of course I'm claiming back my PCB! =D
**because my pay is not high too la >.< **

e-BE for me as I do not have any business.. YET!

Since this is my second year, all I have to do is just Login.

**thankfully I still remember my password =D**

They have all my records! All auto-fill up! 

Just double check only! 

Especially your bank account number! Hehe!

You just have to fill in your income based on your EA Form.

For PCB, it will auto filled up based on the amount you paid in 2013. 

Fill in all the tax deduction you have in 2013!

This is the part where Tax Planning is important!

If you do it right....

Taaadaaaaaaaa!! 

You can claim back full amount of my PCB! =D

Make sure your bank account number is correct again!

You have to "Sign" the e-filling form too!

All done! Wait for the refund! =D

Do it ASAP and you might get the refund back earlier!
With all the tax relief and tax rebate, I think it's easy to do tax planning!
For a fresh engineer like me, you could easily claim back all your PCB!
Maybe it could be just a few hundreds, but no point donating to #youknowwho , right? =X

Here's a few tips on Tax Planning:
1. Yearly medical check up is important to keep track of your health! - RM500
2. Books/Magazine is a good investment in yourself! - RM1,000
3. Put a right amount of money in life insurance is a good protection! - RM6,000
4. Invest some into Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) is good for retirement! - RM3,000
5. Buy some insurance premium for medical or education as saving! - RM3,000

Allocate the right amount at the right place,

to get the optimal benefit out of tax relief. 

And that's the wonder of tax planning.
