No.1 Buka Puasa Ramadhan Buffet @ Vistana Hotel, Penang

It has to be Vistana Hotel's Buka Puasa Ramadhan Buffet given the value-for-money buffet. With only RM48++, you could get all variety of food especially the local delicacies. One of the remarkable dish that I could still remember would be the roasted lamb! Crispy skin with the tender yet juicy meat that goes really well with yogurt sauce. No.2 Miraku Japanese Restaurant @ G Hotel, Penang

Definitely no doubt for Miraku Japanese Restaurant to be on the top food post for 2014. Miraku Japanese Restaurant offers Japanese Buffet for only RM69++, relatively cheap in Penang. If you want a real Japanese dining experience, Miraku Japanese Restaurant will be the best choice as their experienced chefs are brought in from Japan. No. 3 Maggie Milo Recipe

This post gets on top of the most pageview of 2014 for it's uniqueness, or I should just say weird. For that, the internet sensation of Maggie Milo Noodle manage to attract huge amount of audience. Afterall, people like to read weird things huh? Nevertheless, it's kind of like it or hate it type of food, but definitely worth for a try! No. 4 Folks Cafe @ Lebuh Acheh, Penang 

Next up, Folks Cafe that strategically located nearby tourist attraction spot. It is just a simple and cozy cafe attached to the Flash Back Guest House. Their Mushroom Munchies is great for a niblet and carbonara pasta with an egg yolk swirled into the pasta. The concept of brunch all day long give anyone to eat anytime. No. 5 Sugar Honey @ Campbell Street, Penang

Okay to be honest, I'm not sure if people are attracted to my Sugar Honey post because of the place or because of my sugar honey. LOL! Anyway, Sugar Honey is one of the cafes that mushrooming in the town. High School Musical-type of attractive light bulb nameboard is the attraction of Sugar Honey. No. 6 Seafood Extravaganza Buffet Dinner @ E&O Hotel

The food that yours truly love the most would always be seafood, seafood and seafood! Hence, there's no doubt that Seafood Extravaganza Buffet Dinner at E&O Hotel would attract high pageview as birds of a feather flock together! No. 7 Sushi Kitchen @ Sungai Ara, Penang

Sushi Kitchen, notably, is the yummiest vegetarian Japanese Restaurant! As I am not a vegan, vegetarian is really not my kind of thing and I never fond of it. But Sushi Kitchen changed my thought, vegetarian could be delicious too with some creativity on the ingredients use. My dining experience was great and definitely would go back again for more! No. 8 Christmas Eve 2014 Buffet Dinner @ G Cafe, Penang

Surprisingly, Christmas just a few days ago but the pageview of the post has surge up so high. They must be attracted by all the cute decoration of Christmas. G Cafe offers a wide range of food from Christmas-must-have Roasted Turkey to Yule Log Cake and some other amazing dishes. No. 9 Chez Nous Cafe @ Lorong Seck Chuan, Penang 

At our place! Yes that's what Chez Nous means in French. Don't play play, yours truly learn French before, but just Beginner level! Anyway, visited during Chinese New Year and the owner would change the menu from time to time. But overall, the food was above satisfactory and definitely worth a visit especially for special occasion! Click here to read more.

No. 10 Pavilion Cafe @ Lebuh Presgrave, Penang
Unlike many other cafes in Penang, Pavilion Cafe serves mainly Taiwan fusion cuisine. One of their attraction would be the tall Ice Drip Coffee Tower that you could rarely come across elsewhere. But what attracted me the most is the Rose Latte Ice and the Yellow Duck Rice. Click here to read more.

Ferringhi Coffee Garden @ Batu Ferringhi, Penang

Birthday Brunch at Ferringhi Coffee Garden, Penang!

Yours truly is finally 25! And people said "Life starts at 25!" I believe it too. Anyway, we chose Ferringhi Coffee Garden for my birthday brunch on 14th Dec. Thanks to my darling, finally I got the chance to try there. As you know, I rarely or reluctantly to spend immoderately on luxury food. Not forget to mention that we have to drive all the way from Batu Maung to Batu Ferringhi, it's like from one end to another! So other than food review or any celebration, there's no way to spend with all that hassle. Well you see, we are just trying to live within our means. Haha! 

Ferringhi Coffee Garden - Mixed Fruit Punch (RM9.80) and Long Black (RM8.80)

Darling likes their Long Black even though she is not a coffee person. 

FYI...

Difference between Long Black and Americano:

Long Black = Hot Water + Espresso

Americano = Espresso + Hot Water

The difference is at the sequence of mixing both espresso and water. Many would prefer Long Black as the double shot espresso is pulled directly into the hot water so that the sweet and aromatic crema stay intact on top.

I think the best part of Egg Benedict is the runny egg yolk slowly oozing out. 

Overall it is a delectable breakfast that you just won't get bored of it!

Very nice presentation but i only like the sandwiches with cheese, ham and salmon!

 Comes with mini bruschetta, scones and a cup of coffee or tea.

25 years old is a turning point or a pivotal point for me. It’s a time when we might be consolidating careers and even committing to a long-term relationship. But for me, it's time to apply the knowledge I had gained. Most importantly, it's time to unleash my full potential to live my unlived life! Like the saying goes... 

When you believe in yourself, 

your potential isn’t something you need to reach; 

it’s something waiting to be discovered.

Overall it was a pleasant experience in Ferringhi Coffee Garden. The staffs are very friendly and always greeted with a big wide smile. It's quite cooling even though we were sitting outside as there're fans here and there.  Hence, it is certainly an enjoyable place to spend your weekend morning.

Although light refreshments were served but everyone was so excited and more interested in the ZALORA’s pop-up store gadgets and goods, everyone was so busy choosing their clothes while waiting for the event.

Rule of 78 in Hire Purchase Loan

Apart from accounting/finance/bank folks, most of us may not know Rule of 78.
Rule of 78 is the allocation of interest charge on a loan throughout its payment periods.
It is commonly used to calculate the interest rebate or redemption sum (early settlement).
Rule of 78 applies in Hire Purchase Loan or more commonly known as car loan.

Let's start with the Rule of 78! 

As usual, giving example is the best illustration.
Assumptions:
Hire Purchase Loan/Car Loan = 25,000
Repayment Period = 1 year = 12 months
Interest Rate = 3% p.a

Yes, it is a direct calculation for the interest of car loan:
25,000 X 1 X 3% = 750
Hence, total car loan will be principal + interest:
25,000 + 750 = 25,750
So, monthly installment will be:
25,750 / 12 = 2,146

But, do you know what's the proportion that paid to interest?
This is where Rule of 78 comes into the picture!

Which explains why it is call Rule of 78!

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 = 78
