Thanks to Jennifer, we were being invited to the opening ceremony of Bamboo Square at The Place Raja Uda. Bamboo Square is the latest addition of a garden framing infront of The Star installation. The dense bamboo forest creates an enchanting walk along the refreshing green scenery. There will also be a Chinese New Year Festival celebration with food, music, art and fashion show happening from 6:30pm onwards and a street party from 10pm till late.

CNY Festival
Date: 10th - 14th February, 2016
Time: 6:30pm - 10.30pm

Street Party
Date: 12 February 2016
Time: 10pm - 2am

For Chinese New Year, a contemporary art installation created by Tauras Stalnionis and Gabija Grusaite is installed within the pathway of Bamboo Square. It is a modern interpretation of traditional Wishing Tree where people would leave a wish tied on a red ribbon. In Bamboo Squarethousands of ribbons are tied to create a constantly moving and twisting sea of red that people are invited to experience, touch and get lost within.

On a side note, they are having a hashtag competition for the Chinese New Year celebration.
1. Take a photo of a star, it can be any star at all so splurge your creativity!
2. Post the photo on your Facebook page/ Instagram with the hash tag #CatchThatStar
3. We will select the best photos and winners will walk away with food voucher to be utilized at our Food Bar during the celebration

Terms and conditions:
- Multiple submission is acceptable but only one post from each users will be selected.
- Competition ends on Feb 14.

See you there!
