Airbnb Bukit Bintang @ Bintang Fairlane Residences

Henry Tan | 8:42 PM | | | 3 Comments so far
Looking for Airbnb place to stay around Bukit Bintang? Check out Bintang Fairlane Residences which I spent a night stay during my trip down to Kuala Lumpur for the PhillipCapital's 9th Annual Investment Conference 2018. As usual, after I went through a thorough research on all the available Airbnb place based on the location, reviews, facilities and so on, this "Fairlane 1-Bedroom Apartment FL#13" caught my attention the most.

Bintang Fairlane Residences consists of a bathtub too!

As my event located at Berjaya Times Square, Bintang Fairlane Residences fits perfectly to my plan as it is within 10 minutes of walking distance. It is located right behind of the famous Lot 10 Shopping Mall and probably right in the middle of all the other shopping malls around Bukit Bintang such as Berjaya Times Square, Low Yat Plaza, Sungai Wang Plaza, Farenheit88 as well as Pavillion KL. Best of all, Bukit Bintang Monorail Station is just a stone throw away! πŸš†πŸš†πŸš†

Lot 10 Shopping (green color building) is just right behind!

One of the best way to find out more about the apartment is by reading all the reviews, especially the most recent ones. I did shortlisted to a few options initially, but these reviews left by previous occupants helped to make my final decision. Reasonable price per night - entire house at RM222 (inclusive of cleaning fee and service fee), great location, 5 Stars reviews done by 20 persons, safe and quiet neighborhood, most importantly, the bathtub! πŸ›πŸ›πŸ›πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

Living Room with all the basic necessities.

As my investment conference ended at 6pm, I did self checked-in by collecting the smart card and key at the mail box with all the procedures written clearly to me by the Superhost - Han Nee. The registration process was fast and easy as the friendly guard seems to be well trained and used to such scenario. The house and the amenities are similar to the photos provided in Airbnb website. πŸ‘

Kitchen area with fridge, oven, cooking stoves and even washing machine!

As my stay was only one night, so I didn't get to fully utilize any of the kitchen utensils provided, not even the washing machine. The TV provided was connected with HyppTV which I am not familiar with and unfortunately, World Cup 2018 was not showing on HyppTV. So hereby, I would strongly recommend all Airbnb host to install a Google Chromecast which costs about RM200+ while allowing the guests to cast video to the TV from any devices. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

Bedroom with 1 queen bed.

The windows from the room are facing the opposite building, there's no view to see so make sure you keep the curtain closed all the time! As there is not enough electrical sockets near to the bed, except the one used by the lamp, I can only charge my mobile phone away from my bed. I guess they want us to stay away from mobile phone while sleeping!  πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Spacious bathroom with bathtub.

During the stay, I could only fully utilized the bathtub, which is quite rare to have given the scarcity of space in KL, while watching the World Cup match of Sweden vs England. Wine is better, but I just pampered myself with the latest edition of Goodday MultiPRO chocolate milk with a pack of Chipster Sour Cream & Onion chips. 😌😌😌

Overall, I had a satisfied stay at Bintang Fairlane Residences even though it was just a short one. This was my third time staying through Airbnb as you may check out my previous experiences here at Regalia Residence with Rooftop Infinity Pool and White SoHo at The Scott Garden. Thankfully to my readers who sign up through my link, I was given the travel credit to pay for this. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

White SoHo @ The Scott Garden, Kuala Lumpur

Henry Tan | 9:23 PM | | | Be the first to comment!
During our 4D3N KL Trip, we stayed at White SoHo, The Scott Garden which located at Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur. I have chosen this place since it is the most affordable one yet near to Bangsar South where I attended FA Advisory Mid Year Conference. This was the second time we booked through Airbnb since our last trip exactly a year ago at Regalia Residence.

In case you do not have a Airbnb account,
(You and I will get RM65 travel credit each!)

It was our first time to stay or even visit to a SoHo Duplex since duplex is quite rare in Penang. Baby and I are quite fond of such duplex style, perhaps next time we should get ourselves one before having kids. The duplex SoHo with 20ft ceiling height is suitable for our own stay/office/home-office. It is big enough for two person but small enough to clean the whole house by ourselves. πŸ˜‚

We booked our White SoHo from Suki, unfortunately she was not free to entertain us. Thankfully her helper, May, was friendly enough to guide us. May guided us to the carpark and handed us the key. Security of the building is good as you can only access the lobby door as well as the lift to your floor by using the designated access card.

Overall, I think the White SoHo of Suki was quite nice and cozy. All the necessities are available such as TV, fridge, cooking utensils, washing machine and even water dispenser! I have to compliment the availability of water dispenser as it saves our time to cook or even money to buy. Suki subscribed to HyppTV as well whereby there are plenty of TV channels for us to watch.

The bedroom upstairs is simple and nice. Baby likes the wallpaper as it gives a comfy feeling instead of just the normal blank wall. All is good but I would hope that there is electric wall socket next to the bed, even better if it comes with USB port for ease of charging phone! The bathroom with semi-transparent glass is quite kinky, but we love it! πŸ˜‚

Looking out the nice big picture window to a great view of KL city was rather enjoyable especially when you just relaxing at home. It allows more of the natural sunlight and makes the living room more lively. Reading a book next to it would be a great thing to do!

During my stay, both of the day I was out for meeting and conference, so I didn't get to enjoy the facilities such as the swimming pool and gym. In the evening, baby and I just went to walk around to explore. It was unfortunate that Tesco no longer there, but you can get still get from mini-market or 7-11 (There's also Starbucks!) at the shop lot right below the SoHo. There are quite a lot of pubs at Scott Garden too, so I supposed staying high floors can only avoid those noises.

Anyhow, if you happened to visit KL and looking for a place to stay, head over to Airbnb and book White SoHo from Suki! Around RM100 a night is quite affordable in my opinion given that the SoHo is fully furnished!

Regalia Residence with Rooftop Infinity Pool @ Jalan Putra, KL

Henry Tan | 4:50 PM | | | 19 Comments so far
During our 3D2N Trip to KL, we have chosen Regalia Residence as our stay thru the use of Airbnb instead of the usual hotel booking. This was our first time so we actually read up a lot of reviews before deciding on one. Regalia Residence is located in the city center and the main attraction for us of course would be the roof top infinity pool with perfect KLCC and KL Tower view.

In case you do not have a Airbnb account,
(Earn yourself RM120 travel credit!)

Regalia Residence

As you may see, there are actually quite a lot of option given the same Regalia Residence, so you really have to read carefully and choose accordingly. We have chosen those available on our date, price range, as well as room type which is the Entire Home/Apt. So the one we got is a studio apartment at high floor from Muzamel, a good host with a lot of good reviews. (We didn't get to meet the host though as all communication thru Whatsapp only)

Regalia Residence

***Do take note that Muzamel's check in time is at 6pm, which is quite suitable to our timing. So when we were arriving, we gave him a text and he send us a detailed check-in procedure thru Whatsapp. The first and only bad thing about Regalia Residence is the car park for traveler with car like us. We were told to park at the visitor car park at the road side as we do not have access card into the residence car park. During day time, parking is fine but at night when everyone is back then it could be very limited and it is on first come first serve basis.

Regalia Residence

Regalia Residence consists of 3 towers, namely Melrose, Milan and Madison. Ours was at Melrose level 34. Since it is a studio apartment, once opened the door you will see the kitchen, the living room as well as the bed altogether, just like a standard hotel! Overall, the cleanliness was good for us and it is spacious too.

Regalia Residence

A small kitchen is available with fridge, microwave oven, toaster, cooking pot and even washing machine! You can find all the basic cooking utensil in the drawers or the shelves. To be honest, we didn't use much of those as we eat out most of the time and washing machine is not needed for 3D2N. But you can find some drinks in the fridge in case you have a sudden urge to quench your thirst.

Regalia Residence

The bed was fine but don't expect those 5 stars hotel's thick and comfy bed. TV was quite small to me too (maybe too used to wide screen TV) and most importantly there's no sport channel for EURO for me! But anyhow, TV is not a main attribute as most of the time we were outside too. Afterall, nobody go for vacation and just to watch TV in hotel right? I find the red multi layer rack with multiple extension cord right beside the bed very useful and convenient. You know with all the gadgets (handphone, powerbank, camera, etc) nowadays, I gotta charge those batteries with easy access right beside my bed!

Here comes the main attraction!
Rooftop Infinity Pool

Regalia Residence

Right after check-in and settled down, we quickly went to another tower (Milan if not mistaken) for the infinity pool at level 37. It was around 7.30pm, whereby it was the best time for sunset photo shooting! Do take note that you will need the access card to scan at the lift in order to reach level 37. Once you walked out from the lift, you will witness the magnificent view of KL city with a infinity pool right in front.

Regalia Residence

The infinity pool is not too big so it could be quite a headache to take photo when it is crowded. Fortunately our timing was right and the crowds were bearable. Otherwise, I do not think anyone would enjoy a good swim here, a soak or a dip would be fine though. But I supposed the developers have thought so too, hence, there is another recreational pool at Level 5. We did not swim there.

Regalia Residence

Regalia Residence offers a wide range of facilities such as restaurant, bistro & bar, playground, gym and sauna but we didn't enjoy any of those at all. Maybe next time if plan for a getaway, then one whole day just stay in and enjoy all the facilities would be nice. During our stay, there were quite a lot of foreigners so you can bet the quality is good enough that they would want to stay.

Regalia Residence

Overall, Regalia Residence is a good place to stay especially for those traveling without car as two train stations (KTM Putra Station & LRT PWTC Station) are available within 5 minutes walking distance. Sunway Putra Mall is also located nearby with a stone throw away. I will update with a another separate post with all photos at the infinity pool as I supposed not everyone would keen to see me naked with thin arm and flabby body. XD
