The first lunch in Singapore happened to be at....
"Boon Tong Kee!"
Yeah, chicken rice again. =S
And it is near to the hotel I stayed which is in Balestier Road.
The appetizer!
Look at all the newspaper cuting on the wall.
So-so only.
The rice a bit hard. =S
I like this one the most!

=
I forgot what izzit call. But taste super nice!
Vege with 3 types of eggs. Not bad.
So so taofu.
Not bad! but served cold!
we waited so long just for the plate of chicken! =(
we almost finished our rice and other dishes! =(
Honestly, the shop were served by those old people.
Not that it isn't good to hire old people.
And despite the slow service, their attitude sucks too!
One of the old man even sneeze! =S

Taste: 6/10 (Sucks when it is served cold! Only certain dish is nice)
Price: 4/10 (SD130, yup Singapore Dollar! for 7 ppls =S)
Environment: 7/10 (Normal but quite a lot of people!! Tourists!)
Service: 4/10 (Super Slow!)
Average: 5.5/10
Unless, their waiter and waitress become more efficient, otherwise... HELL NO!
sometimes with the old folks things can be technical. not employing them means they have nothing to feed themselves. employing them sometimes will result in what you experienced with their attitude:P
ReplyDeletePork bun?
ReplyDeleteohoho.. the food look nice.. well, but, as you've said, I really don't fancy when it comes to old labour.. Ha ha ha..
ReplyDeleteso special, the chicken serve in cold.
ReplyDeletemantou!!!!!!! xD
ReplyDeleteIt's not cheap to dine @ Boon Tong Kee. Prices there have gone up quite a bit. I like the pork too, it's yummy :) Sorry about the slow service u've gotten. Some popular outlets are known for their snobbish attitude. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. Great photography skills there. :)
ReplyDeleteYummy!

That's mantao (steamed buns) with braised pork belly. Very popular here too...and a whole lot cheaper. Gosh!!! Almost $20 per person...convert to RM, almost RM50. That's why I do not bother to go to Singapore anymore - way too expensive and what they have, we have here too...and ours may even be better.
ReplyDeletemissyblurkit, haha yeah, kinda dilemma huh?
ReplyDeletenikel, not really bun i guess.
