During our 3D2N Getaway at Cinta Sayang Resort, we had Steam Buffet on our Saturday night at Chips & Bites. It is an outdoor bar with sweeping views of the golf course, offering all day dining with a Western Fusion Menu. The Eat All You Can Steamboat Buffet will be starting from 6.30pm to 10.30pm every Saturday at Chips & Bites, Cinta Sayang Resort, Sungai Petani, Kedah. To enjoy the Early Bird Promotion Price of RM35 per adult, all you need to do is just to call in earlier to reserve for your seat.
We were there in a big group like almost 50 people, Chips & Bites is flexible enough to arrange the seating nicely for us since we had already reserved earlier. 4 to 6 persons will be sharing a big pot with the portable gas stove. We went there after our outdoor activity session at Carnivall Waterpark, so it was totally the right time to have eat-all-we-can steamboat buffet dinner.
The greenery surrounding of Chips & Bites is very calm and soothing. Even though it is outdoor seating, but the cool breeze with the ceiling fan makes very good ventilation. On top of that, the music played by the live band makes the night more relaxing and enjoyable.
For the food wise, the variation not the most that we have seen but it is sufficient for different liking by all walks of life. The steamboat pot was divided into halves with Tom Yum Soup and Chicken Herbal Soup. As usual, I always get a little from each of it, then only fully focus on those that I like in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... rounds and rounds of replenish, after all that's all buffet is about!
Overall, the Early Bird Price of RM35 with unlimited refill of food from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, I would say it is worth for the money. Certainly suitable for friends and family gathering which can save all the trouble of preparing and cleaning at the end. It's even better to fix sudden craving especially during raining days where you just want something hot to keep yourself comfort!
