CNY Auspicious Platters 2015 @ Hard Rock Cafe, Penang

Around one month till Chinese New Year but Hard Rock Cafe Penang has started to promote on their Chinese New Year Auspicious Platters 2015! Thanks to Hard Rock Cafe Penang, I was able to be one of the first to test on their festive menu! Well, Hard Rock Cafe is like a place of pilgrimage (朝圣的地方), many people would "check-in" if they are in Penang. We certainly had a fantastic experience here!

We were greeted and serviced by extremely-friendly waiters. Whenever there is eye-contact, they are so attentive that they never fail to give a big wide smile immediately and followed by the readiness to serve. Hard Rock Cafe Penang surely trained them well on providing excellent customer service that instantly enhanced our dining experience.

I got to know from their passionate Asst. Manager, Danish, that, Hard Rock Cafe Penang is the world 3rd smallest Hard Rock Cafe. Even though it could only fit up to 150 people, but they got everything here including a Rock Shop!

That pretty female model on that poster definitely is appealing to me! Well, it's a red Hard Rock Cafe Penang Ladies Vintage Crew which I believe darling would love it very much especially with its comfy material. Personally, I was more fond of that Classic Logo Grey Hoodie!

Hard Rock Cafe Penang provides both dining table as well as bar table! So regardless of what is your occasion, they always got option for you to choose. Flexibility is important as they could suit to your liking and make your dining more enjoyable.

I went up to the upper floor through the spiral staircase to grab a full view of Hard Rock Cafe Penang. Same as the lower floor, framed music memorabilia covers every single available space on the walls! Definitely good for the customers to kill some time by wandering the walls while waiting for their food to be served.

Hard Rock Cafe's platter has always been famous for the big portion! You could definitely tell from the picture. Who would believe this is platter for 2, especially for Asians with small appetite. Not for me though, I am a BIG eater! Anyway, this Auspicious Platter consists of fried rice, potato skins, prawns, fish, chicken wings, deep fried chicken, hickory smoked pulled lamb sandwiches and mini beef burger.

Okay, maybe I was wrong. After looking at this small platter for one, I think it's more than enough! Well, there is no platter for 1 actually. In fact, this was taking one of each from the Prosperity Platter Promotion for 2 Persons, my own self-picked platter.

Overall the prosperity platter was pleasurable. Crispy potato skin loaded with creamy cheese and bacon is really a great combination. Deep fried chicken with lemon sauce was appetizing too. Darling likes their sweet and sour fish. Girls like sour food isn't it. Hard Rock Cafe Penang Auspicious platters undoubtedly suitable for all.

Hard Rock Cafe - Mini Beef Burgers with Thai Plum Sauce

Hard Rock Cafe - Hickory Smoked Pulled Lamb Sandwiches

Besides that, there are mini beef burger and pulled lamb sandwiches! They could definitely be more fulfilling and satisfying. The thick beef patty was a bit dry as it was cooked well done but could be compensated by the Thai plum sauce. Hickory smoked pulled lamb sandwiches were equally delicious too, considering the amount of pulled lamb the chef generously placed into it.

A Chinese New Year Auspicious Platter is not complete without a drink! Hard Rock Cafe Penang's Alternative Rock, which is alcohol free, definitely fit into the picture. You can definitely tell by the color of red and yellow which are lucky color that required for Chinese New Year.

It was a pleasant dining experience at Hard Rock Cafe Penang and definitely good impression for me to come back for more in the future! According to Danish, Hard Rock Cafe Penang mostly would be full during the weekend, hence, reservation is highly recommended to avoid disappointment with long queue.
