If you can't make it for Christmas Eve, no worry cause Ixora Hotel Penang will be offering Christmas Day Buffet Lunch as well from 12pm to 2.30pm at RM58 nett for Adult, RM38 nett for both Children aged 4 to 12 and Senior Citizen aged 60 and above!

We started off with the December special drinks, Christmas Rudolph Cocktail at RM22 nett and Santa Punch Mocktail at RM18 nett. These drinks are not included in the buffet dinner, but fret not, Ixora Hotel Penang provides free drinking water, coffee and tea.

First and foremost, we took appetizer and salad to kick start our big feast. Too many options are available so I will just mentioned a few noteworthy ones like the Smoked Salmon, Smoked Duck and Smoked Tenggiri. We had Potato Salad, Japanese Baby Octopus Salad and the mixed fruit salad.

Then, we moved on to the Seafood on Ice section, where I took a lot of prawns, oysters, scallop with roe and flower crab! Both baby and I love seafood, so we really enjoyed ourselves a lot, you can tell from watching the video below! We took the wasabi and mayonnaise from the salad dressing section and made ourselves Wasabi Mayo. This is baby's favorite dressing that you should try too! 😁

Apart from that, Ixora Hotel Penang also serves Hot Dishes such as Corn on Cob, Roasted Potatoes with Herbs, Oven Baked Spring Chicken with Gravy and many more. Personally, I like the lamb stew and the chicken stew very much. The chefs stewed it long enough to have that melt in the mouth texture. 💦💦💦

If you know me well, I always tried to taste each and everything in a buffet dinner. So we moved on to the BBQ section where you can find assorted sausages, chicken, lamb, beef, slipper lobster, salmon and even Shishamo (smelt fish)! Komochi Shishamo means smelt fish with their belly full of egg, which you can find it in Japanese Restaurant, but this is rare in buffet dinner! I LOVE IT! 😋😋

Ixora Hotel Penang really put in a lot of effort on food presentation. We were amazed by how delicate the chefs made with Christmas theme. Even the fresh seasonal cut fruits were decorated into a Christmas tree sitting next to the chocolate fountain. 👏👏👏

Our big feast ended with a sweet ending by indulging ourselves into their dessert. To name a few such as the Ginger Bread House, Yule Log Cake, X'mas Pudding, Vanilla Horn and Petit 4 Types which are the compulsory dessert for Christmas! My personal favorite are the fruit tartlet and chocolate tart. Each of them were so elegantly presented.

Overall for Penang Island people like me, I really think it is worth the money to make a trip to Ixora Hotel Penang for Christmas Eve Seafood & BBQ Buffet Dinner, after all it is on Sunday and Monday no blue because it is Christmas! Given all the food that were being served and it is only at RM88 nett per adult, certainly make it to the top of the list of all Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner in Penang! 👍
