Okay back to my topic - Christmas Eve 2014 Buffet Dinner. (Christmas Mood = 10%)
Once again, thanks to G Hotel for extending the invitation to this event.
G Spot entrance with Christmas decorations! |
Christmas time is in the air again!
You can definitely feel that in G Hotel.
They never fail to surprise with all the Christmas decorations.
(Christmas Mood = 20%)
One thing that still missing would be the Christmas songs!
Probably still early to go! Hehe!
Christmas Goodies from G Hotel are available too! |
Assorted Christmas Cookies, Assorted Macaron and many more!
Anyone would be delighted to receive all these lovely Christmas gifts.
(Christmas Mood = 30%)
Look at all the snow flakes hanging on the ceiling! |
You will be welcomed by a huge pinecone wreath with a Merry Christmas banner!
Instantly, Christmas mood is ON!
And followed by all the SUPERB pastries that will excite you.
FYI, G Hotel is famous for their Award Winning Pastry Chef, Chef Tan!
G Cafe - Crispy Pear Puff |
Crispy skin comes with the strong aroma from the pear filling.
With the cute reindeer and the snowman decoration, definitely TURN YOU ON!
Oh I mean in the sense of food porn. Don't simply think ok! HEHE!
(Christmas Mood = 35%)
G Cafe - Mince Pie |
With the sprinkle of icing sugar and star-topped pastry,
these must be specially made for the Christmas festive buffet dinner!
G Cafe - Tiramisu & Carrot Cake |
Again, these delectable are absolutely delicious, especially the Tiramisu.
The portion is just nice to keep you going!
G Cafe - Chocolate Mud Cake |
Darling loves this chocolate mud cake very much.
Rich of chocolate, which is what every girl will like.
Creamy, moist, rich yet not too sweet with a slight bitterness.
Not jelak at all!
(Christmas Mood = 40%)
G Cafe - Strawberry Chill Cheese Cake |
G Cafe - Christollen |
Another fruit cake that must have during Christmas!
Which is also why it is called as Christ - Stollen = Christollen!
Made of flour, oat and studded with dry-fruits.
Then topping with icing sugar, it's snowing everywhere!
(Christmas Mood = 45%)
G Cafe - Cinamon Peach Cake |
G Cafe - Assorted Christmas Cookies |
G Cafe - Christmas Yule Log Cake |
Also known as bûche de Noël.
Another Christmas must have - French traditional dessert.
Really look like the real log.
Only Award Winning Pastry Chef can do that!
G Cafe - Christmas Fruit Cake |
G Cafe - Mini Pineapple Tartlets |
Placed in a chafing dish that keeps them warm.
Warm and crispy tart with a little fragrant of pineapple.
(Christmas Mood = 50%)
Okay enough with the pastries and desserts.
Next moving on to the main course!
Starting with the carvery section.
G Cafe - Roasted Turkey |
Wow! That chicken is so big!
Oh wait, it is TURKEY!!!
Turkey for Christmas? Just like in the TV?
WOW!!!
(Christmas Mood = 100%!!!)
G Cafe - Roasted Turkey & Traditional Stuffing |
Super excited to get to try the turkey.
Rarely got the chance to eat, so Christmas is one good reason!
Another new thing to me is the stuffing.
Initially I thought it is radish or something! LOL
Please forgive me for being naive.
G Cafe - Roasted Lamb, Roasted Duck and Crispy Potato Wedges |
I have to say... I LIKE ROASTED DUCK!
As usual, there are other sections as well.
Namely BBQ, Live Cooking, Salads Bar and Fresh Seafood on Ice.
For the chafing dish, there are some changes specially made for Christmas.
G Cafe - Hot from the Chafing Dish |
Clockwise starting from Navarin D'Agneau, Salmon Curry,
Braised Chinese Cabbage with Smoked Chicken and Daging Masak Lemak.
Navarin D'Agneau basically is a French stew lamb and potato.
But nevertheless, I like the salmon curry for the uniqueness.
G Cafe - Poulet Francaise |
Another French cuisine. Poulet = Chicken
I like this among all, because they used chicken thigh!
Well seasoned and sauteed with cherry tomatoes and chopped parsley.
G Cafe - Hot from the Chafing Dish |
Clockwise starting from Duck A L'Orange, Sauteed Potato, Mussels in Saffron with Leek & Apples and Fish Scaloppini. I was attracted by the mussels the most. |
G Cafe - Cheese Section |
G Cafe - Fruits Section |
G Cafe - Chocolate Fountain |
Strawberries and grapes are my top picks!
Sweet and sour just like the love-hate relationship!
Or you could just say that I'm being "Fan Jian" (Self-Tortured).

HAHAHHAHA! No I'm not Bian Tai. (Pyscho)
G Cafe - All in one plate |
You would want to try it all, so a little bit here and there!
G Cafe - Roasted Turkey |
The roasted turkey tastes good with the apple cranberry sauce.
To handle such a big size definitely is not easy.
It is marinated with garlic, pepper, rosemary, ginger and salt.
