The management carefully selected each and every single details that you could see in the cafe. Just by looking at the table setting in Spoon Cafe, G Hotel Kelawai Penang, one could easily feel the elegant ambiance of the cafe. With the warm welcome and attentive services from the staffs, our Latino Night buffet dinner night was indeed enjoyable.

Spoon Cafe - Buffet Dinner

Left - Malay Spice Oxtail Soup | Right - Carrot Orange & Ginger Soup
We started our buffet dinner with oxtail soup and carrot orange soup. Oxtail soup was rich and thick but I was more concentrating on the oxtail itself. I supposed just like any other tails, oxtail is rich of gelatin and collagen, which help to build body tissues and keeping us young! On the other hand, the carrot orange & ginger soup was really special with the tangy orange flavor.

Spoon Cafe - Cold Cut, Marinated Salad & Seafood on Ice
As usual for buffet dinner, a little bit of everything! Lucky for me as I could share with darling and we could get a taste of everything. Most of these are above average and darling actually very fond of their Potatoes Salad with Beef Bacon & Chicken Sausage & Cheese Salad.

Spoon Cafe - Main Course
Not sure if you would noticed that when it comes to main course, we could only afford to take one each! You know it's like slow down the eating as there's still plenty more waiting ahead! Unlike many other buffet dinner, Spoon Cafe in G Hotel Kelawai Penang actually serves small portion of each dishes but with frequent top-up. The reason being is that they could make sure the food is fresh and hot from the chef, while controlling the amount so that it doesn't go waste too!

Spoon Cafe - Char Koay Teow
One of the highlight of Spoon Cafe would definitely be the Char Koay Teow. Most of the people would rarely focus on those Penang local delicacies when it comes to buffet dinner. Imagine paying like around RM100, there's no way just to eat Char Koay Teow especially for Penangite like me that requires the food to be "Pan Gi, Tua Teh", which means cheap and big portion. Forget about cheap food occupying your stomach, this Char Koay Teow here in Spoon Cafe, you should really give it a try even just a spoon of it

Spoon Cafe - Dessert
They said there's always a space for dessert. But I barely could find anymore space after so many rounds of food. Among all the delectable dessert, red velvet stands out the most as it was not too sweet and definitely did not make me feel more guilty for taking it! #ifyouknowwhatimean LOL

Spoon Cafe - Gelatomio Ice Cream
One thing for sure, you must never miss out their Gelatomio Ice Cream. Given that eye that puts them alive, I can never say no to eat them! Especially the black sesame and dark chocolate flavor that left us wanting for more!
