Thanks to the invitation from the hotel, bae and I got to pamper ourselves with their wide array of delicious food. The Wembley Hotel Penang is one of few hotels that provides the full spread of buffet which would be suitable to all walks of life. 

Some of the highlight for main dishes which would be available for Christmas buffet dinner include Smoked Medallions of Beef with Chestnut and Tarragon Sauce, Almond Crusted Salmon, Red Pepper Confit, Braised Beef Cheek, Sauteed Oyster Mushroom, Roasted Duckling with Black Cherries, Seafood Stew, Sliced Lamb Leg, 12 hours Slow Cooked Beef Ribs and many more. 

We started off with the main dishes, where some of the noteworthy main dishes such as Lamb Stew with Onion and Cabbage, Grilled Salmon with Citrus and Herbs Salsa, Baked Seafood Thermidor, as well as the 12 Hours Slow Cooked Beef Ribs. 

Apart from the main dishes, some of the local delights such as Satay, Fried Wanton, Chicken Pepperoni Pizza and many more are available. What we loved the most was actually the thick creamy  and smooth Pumpkin Soup with added texture from the small pieces of meat, certainly the best way to warm up the stomach!  

Meanwhile for the appetizers, The Wembley Hotel Penang offers Seafood on Ice with assorted seafood ranging from tiger prawns, mussels, scallop, snow crab leg, scallop with roe, slipper lobster and even oysters! 

The Sashimi for the buffet dinner at Wembley Cafe were very impressive too. Tuna Maguro, Salmon, Tako were all beautifully decorated, absolutely a pleasure for the eyes! Assorted sushi are all available as well, but you know me, I don't take carb. 

As for the main highlight at the carving station, it has to be the Roasted Turkey served along with Sage, Giblet Sauce, Roasted Chestnut, Chestnut Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce and Glazed Sweet Potatoes. 

To end the big festive feast on a sweet note, various Christmas dessert were all in colorful decoration. To name a few such as Eggnog Brulee, Warm Christmas Pudding with Vanilla Sauce, Assorted Christmas Cookies, Ginger Bread, Pecan Pie, Minced Meat Pie, Stollen, Panettone, Christmas Cup Cake and so on! 

Overall, even though the pricing could be at the higher end among all the hotels but given the cozy surrounding, variety of food and quality of food, I would say it would be worthwhile. Afterall it is only once a year, what could be a better way to splurge your year end bonus right? 😂😂😂
