Like finally! I always heard people talk about it in KL.
Now finally can taste it myself!
Time for Mille Crepe!
Located in between of Paparich Cafe & Fruuze Frozen Yogurt.
The ceiling design... apple?
Kinda small actually the shop..
A brief intro in the leaflet.
including of steps to order!
So here's our Mille Crepe!
From my understanding... Mille Crepe is a french dessert.
Mille means thousand in French.
So by the definition of word... Thousand of crepe?
French Vanilla - RM9.90
This is like the original crepe with Vanilla between each layer.
Unfortunately, not much of Vanilla fragrance but just cream.
Oreo's Cookies & Cream - RM9.90
Disappointed! Where's the oreo?
Perhaps buying a slice isn't that good since there are no toppings?
Well, can't really taste the Oreo inside.
Peach Passion - RM9.90
Much better! Atleast there's Peach!
And the slices of peach did make it tastier!
Later on getting crowded!
See! even the flowers still there!
Personally, I think I expected too much.
High expectation leads to disappointment.
They didn't give us the feeling of nonstop eating.
So it is just so-so for me.
Anyway, do try it yourself! ;)
And you let me know how do you think. =D
i wanna try the swiss chocolate velvet!!
ReplyDeleteme too! but make sure you don't fall for the picture. picture can be deceiving! =p
DeleteI made up my mind not to try based on this phrase :
ReplyDelete"Personally, I think I expected too much.

Deleteeveryone deserve a chance. =p
Expensive... Here prices range from RM6.60-8.80, and 30 layers...so slices are higher and bigger as well and I think ours look neater too. My favourite is rum & raisin. Will have a post on a new flavour of mille crepe in a few days' time. Stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteyuppp! expensive. their website says just 20 layers only. =) rum & raisin? that's not halal! lol ok ok! i will! =D

DeleteIs there even an outlet in KL? I have ordered from Humble Beginnings online before and their Mille crepe cakes are not bad, in fact better than Melaka's Nadeje. But I don't quite fancy crepe cakes anymore. LOL.
ReplyDeleteyea yea it is located at bangsar. =)
DeleteWas back in Penang over the weekend for my run and I am quite certain that Penang is no longer boring. Penang is not just a hawker food haven but it also has quite a bit of famous restaurants from KL venturing up to Penang.
ReplyDeleteMy take on Humble Beginnings....they still need to figure out their teething issues.
hoho! good that u love penang too! =D
DeleteThis is better than Melaka's one? Woah I must try then! I saw one at Pavillion but must take away only I don't like! :(
ReplyDeleteowhhh. i didn't know Pavillion also got ad!
DeleteI've tried the crepes.. for me, its tasty.. different people, different though perhaps :) i'm not the type that like to eat cakes and sort of that, but this one kind of make me eating non-stop and asking for more. I've tried dark choc, blueberry cheese, peanut butter and french vanilla. Love the dark choc the most! :)
ReplyDeletereached to your post while I'm searching for Humble Beginnings mille crepe review. Agree with you that their oreo mille crepe was beyond the expectation. No oreo taste and barely seen the crushed oreo cookies. -. -" I felt so disappointed to get a piece of mille crepe like this at RM9.90. The Twelve Cups mille crepe tastes better.
