Bordeaux Rendez-vous 2013 @ E&O Hotel Penang

Henry Tan | 10:16 PM | |
As you know Bordeaux is a port city in Southwestern France which famous for wine.
Rendez-vous means like a gathering.
Hence, Bordeaux Rendez-vous is a wine dinner that wine enthusiasts should not miss!

And this year, it was successfully held in Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel Penang!
Vintage wine of 26 different Chateaus from Bordeaux were served to the participants.
Respective representatives were there to introduce their wine too.

There's even a band there to play soft music.

Starting with Conti Neri Prosecco sparkling wine as starter!

Conti Neri Prosecco has a slightly lighter style and alcohol level than Champagne
which makes it particulaly attractive to female consumers!

26 vintage wines up for you to choose depends on your liking!
All are Bordeaux Blend.

Bordeaux Blend is any combination of those
grape varieties typically used to make the red wines.
For example: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Carmenere etc.
The difference between these blend is the percentage of the grape varieties.

Very cozy environment. Perfect to enjoy your wine!

Well decorated on my dining table.

One of my favorite wine from Chateau Clerc Milon 2001

Chateau Clerc Milon is one of the prestigue 1855 classification.
It has 41 hactares of vines located in Pauillac appellation.
The grape varities include 49% Cabernet Sauvignon,
37% of Merlot, 11% of Cabernet franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% of Carmenere.

Not too thick yet not too diluted - just suit to my liking! ^^

Good wine must pair with good food too!

Main Course!

Spicy and non-spicy one!

Desserts!

Dinner buffet up to you to choose!
Do the right matching between your food and your wine!
That definitely enhance your dining experience!

All prepared by the E&O's chefs!

Booklet for you to understand what wine you are drinking! =D

and of course...

So just raise your glass~~!!

With all the representatives from 26 chateaus.
