Again, special thanks to Edo Ramen's management for the invites.
Some of you might have seen Goku Raku in Gurney Paragon Mall.
But it was branching off as Edo Ramen starting 7th April 2014.
Edo (江戸) is the former name of Tokyo during samurai era.
Edo Ramen introduces its concept of fresh, simple, fast yet tasty menu,
offering great value for money as low as RM9.90 for a bowl of Ramen!
If you are craving for Ramen, Edo Ramen must be the ONE!
It is located at ground floor at the Pacific Coffee side.
Edo Ramen offers 4 types of soups:
Tokyo, Tonkotsu, Miso and Black
2 categories of toppings:
Normal and Ultimate
together with authentic handmade Japanese Ramen.
Good News!
In conjunction to the new opening, Edo Ramen is having promotion!
Ultimate Tokyo - RM15.90
Tokyo soup base is classic chicken with seafood broth.
For the Ultimate topping, it consists of tender and succulent char siew, kakuni (braised pork belly), lava egg, naruto (Japanese fish cake), seaweed, pakchoy, sweet corn and spring onions.
Soup plays a vital role in Ramen!
I must say this yummy-licious broth bring the springy Ramen to its perfection in taste and texture!
FYI, chicken and anchovies were boiled in the soup under low heat for 7 hours.
Ultimate Black - RM17.90
Black soup base is classic pork bone broth with Japanese fish powder and fragrant garlic oil.
You might notice that the toppings are the same except the soup.
Personally, Ultimate Black is a MUST-TRY for Ramen lovers!
The black broth with the fish powder definitely will tantalize your tastebud.
The aromatic charred crushed garlic oil intensifies the sensation in every bite of ramen!
To make it even better, i added in black pepper and the fried garlic slices!
Delicious level amplified!!
If Ramen is not enough, you could go for some side dishes!
Aburi Char Siew - RM11.90
Every slices of tender yet succulent pork with the topping of spring onion and small red dates.
Boiled Gyoza (3pcs) - RM4.90
Soft and slurpy that I could swallow one at a time!
Pan-Fried Gyoza (3pcs) - RM4.90
Very special right? Well, this is the Japanese style!
If you are looking for a quick meal, this would be the best!
Simple menu to choose and fast serving!
Just right for those that rushing for a movie! =D
We managed to snap a group photo with the ramen connoisseur, Mr Tetsuya Fukino!
Overall, i think Edo Ramen is a good place to grab a quick meal.
Their price probably one of the most affordable one in Gurney Paragon Mall.
Do check out Edo Ramen if you happen to go Gurney Paragon Mall! =D
