Aonang Fiore Resort @ 5D4N Krabi Trip 2016

Finding a place to stay in Krabi? Well, you have come to the right place. After some intensive online research, we have found that Aonang Fiore Resort fits our criteria whereby it is affordable, new and good ratings/reviews. Aonang Fiore Resort was the first hotel that we stayed during our 5D4N Krabi Trip from 20 to 22 October 2016.

By the time we reached Aonang Fiore Resort, it was already dark and drizzling outside (6pm sunset). But that doesn't kill our mood as we were amazed by the surrounding of the hotel. We were also being greeted by friendly hotel staffs and receptionists. They helped to carry our luggage right from our van to the lobby and then to the room! Good service! Check-in was pretty smooth too as we had already booked online, so all we had to do is just to show them the print-out.

The hotel staff brought us to a buggy and drove us to our hotel room, which is a hut at the hill side. A lot of walking is needed if without the buggy ride! As we arrived at our hut/room, the hotel staff show us around and it was quite a unique experience. We entered from the balcony sliding door as there's no other entrance. The wall of the hut is made of primitive style of wooden dwelling. But it is still looking very clean and comfortable!

Most of the basic amenities are available as Aonang Fiore Resort is a 4-Stars hotel. Bathrobes, coffee/tea maker, complimentary bottled water, hair dryer, in-room safe, FREE WiFi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, fridge and so on are all available! However, one small disappointment was that the hot shower was not functioning properly as it would turn into cold water after a while.

Ohya! Do you know the roof of the hut has a window too so that when you are laying on the bed, you can see the stars and moon! Unfortunately, we went on a low rainy season, so all we saw was just dark clouds. LOL!

What I am impressed the most about is that Aonang Fiore Resort even provides a bag, a torch light, a mosquito repellent spray and even two extra blue towel that we could bring it out for islands hopping. That's very thoughtful!

Even though the mirror in the bathroom looks very artistic, but I find it a little annoying as I could not really use it especially when I have a big face. Other than that, Aonang Fiore Resort is absolutely fine, clean and comfy.

We didn't have a good look at the surrounding as it was dark already in the first day. But when we woke up the next morning, it was amazing as we could sit at the balcony and enjoy the breathtaking view! Okay, maybe not so much as the dark clouds were blocking most of our seaview. (Bad thing to go on a low season with rains and clouds)

But like what baby said, learn to embrace adversity (苦中作乐)! We just simply enjoying the moment together, sipping a cup of hot tea and nibbling the sandwiches we bought from 7-11 yesterday. Well I guess we all need that. Sometimes in life we keep rushing, so it's good to stop a while and just relax.

Instead of calling for the buggy to take us back to the lobby from our room, we took a walk around the resort. The infinity pool in Aonang Fiore Resort is really astonishing with all the palm/coconut tree around. Too bad we didn't even get to swim or take a dip at the pool. I wish some day I could be like those foreigners, taking a month off, sunbathing or even do some reading right beside the pool!

Aonang Fiore Resort consists of such a big landscape garden. There's even a magical fountain displays a whimsical water dance! As we were rushing to the next trip, we didn't stay long to enjoy the peaceful moment in the garden. Come to think about it, it is such a waste not to enjoy all the facilities!

Unlike at night with all the lighting, during daytime, Aonang Fiore Resort looks stunning as well! If you have all the time, I think this could be a good place to take a lot of portrait photos or even landscape photos! Even though we planned our own trip without following any tour, 5D4N still seems not enough for a free and easy trip.

Aonang Fiore Resort consists of a in house halal restaurant - De'fish Seafood Restaurant, which located right beside of the lobby. We didn't dine there as there are simply too many makan-place in our list to cross!

Overall, I would highly recommend Aonang Fiore Resort as it is still a new hotel (open in June 2016). Like the Hokkien saying goes, "New toilet so it's good to poo".

Pros:

New hotel: new is always good as it will be clean and not smelly

Location: located right next to Tesco Lotus and opposite of 7-11

Service: very friendly staffs

Environment: peaceful, comfortable and back-to-nature style!

Price: affordable for a 4-stars hotel

Cons:

Location: located along the main road but some distance away from the Aonang beach.

Hot Shower: not functioning properly (do check with the receptionist)
