Responsible Blogging @ The Children's Protection Society Penang

Henry Tan | 11:01 PM |
Under the series of Time to Give Back event.
About 40 bloggers and public visited The Children's Protection Society Penang.
This is the second home that we visited.
It is just actually just opposite the previous home,

Responsible Blogging @ Ramakrishna Ashrama.

Quite a small home but packed with orphans.

The lady in charge was explaining to us about the home.

Distributing food to the kids.

Talked to them to understand their thoughts.

This home got quite a few Chinese too.
And got to know that the maximum age is 18.
Probably after that they would have to survive on their own.

So again, tell me...

Why don't they deserve a chance too?

A chance just like me and you have.

Well, give them a chance! Help them!

1. Become a Volunteer:
Learning and Tuition is always needed – many of our children have missed a substantial amount of school due to their backgrounds, and often find it difficult to catch up with school work. If you are prepared for the extra challenges which many of our children face, and are prepared to commit a regular time a week (can be anything from an hour up).
2. Sponsor-A-Child Program
Talk to any of our staff if you are interested to sponsor a child
3. Donation:
If you want to make a financial donation, please send cheques (payable to Children’s Protection Society Pulau Pinang) to CPS at 118-A Jalan Scotland, 10450 Penang. CPS is a registered charity home with the Welfare Department so donations will be tax-exempt.
4. Sponsoring an Activity or Outing:
CPS organizes many activities for the children, staff and volunteers. We welcome sponsorship of specific activities. Give us a call if you have any ideas of your own, or would like to hear from us on what sort of activities you could sponsor.

  1. Good work.

My daughter is waiting for her posting right now and I've sent her to volunteer for free and help out at an NGO school here for dyslexic & autistic children.

Good to do whatever we can when we can for society. Can't except the authorities to do everything - things don't drop out of the sky for no reason. God helps those who help themselves.

Thanks! Appreciate your feedback! ^^
