Ramadhan is starting this weekend, 5th of May! This year, Cititel Penang offers "Masakan Citarasa Malaysia" Ramadhan buffet dinner to embrace the holy month together with family, friends and business associates.

The delicious spread is ranging from heavenly aromas of Malaysian delight to cater the locals and tourists. According to the Executive Chef Kam, Gearbox Soup is one of the crowd pullers, while Lamb Leg Kuzi with Briyani Rice and Curry Nangka Muda are also significant dishes to most Malay citizens and certainly one of the must have during breaking fast. 

Apart from that, professional chefs at Action Stall will also be barbequing Satay on the spot and pair with the sweet and spicy sauce along with its signature compressed rice, sliced onion and cucumber. The Action Stall also serves Grilled Lamb Chop and sausages that served well with mint sauce. 

Even though it is a Ramadhan Buffet Dinner, but rest assured that Cititel Penang will still be serving all the standard dishes such as the Seafood on Ice. So for seafood lovers like me, you will still be able to enjoy all their oysters, prawns, mussels and scallops. Japanese food wise, all the sashimi (salmon, tuna and octopus) and assorted sushi are available too. 

For the main course, Cititel Penang offers a wide array of dishes starting from Salmon and Egg Fried Rice, Soft Shell Crab Karaage, Stir Fried Squid with Salted Egg, Salmon Head Curry, Daging Masak Kicap, Chicken Rendang, Nile Perch Masak Lemak, Stir Fried Prawns with Oats, Chili Padi and Curry Leaves, Curry Nangka Muda and Mixed Vegetable with Sea Cucumber.

Lastly, for the sweetest segment of the buffet, besides all the western dessert, the assorted traditional Malay Kuih are available too. If you are a durian lovers, be ready to be spoilt with the creamy and luxurious texture of Durian Pengat! 

Overall, I think the Ramadhan Buffet Dinner at Cititel Penang is suitable for those company or colleagues celebrating buka puasa together. Given the variety of dishes which doesn't focuses on Malay dishes only, that makes it a suitable especially for those with multifacial.
